This wonderfully pretty reading nook comes with the building. It’s located in Kyotanabe City, Kyoto, and was designed by the Japanese firm Geneto, for two retired schoolteachers who “wanted to create a multifunctional space where families and children could come and enjoy art, chat, play and generally just enjoy themselves.” It reminds me of reading in my closet as a child—children always want to read in small, strange spaces.
