Taiwan based Balance-Wo Design created this mp3 speaker made from recycled paper pulp churned out under high pressure and temperature. The Pulpop speaker uses FeONIC Technology’s SoundBug flat vibration speaker technology to intensify the sound through the surface on which they stand, as well as through the hollow space inside the doughnut. Initiated in 2002, the technology can turn any surface like mirrors, tables and windows to a speaker, providing crystal clear and crisp sonic output. The speaker, rechargeable via USB, is very lightweight, and although a bit bulky during transportation (10.2 x 11.6 x 2.4″), a very cool object that fits into any interior. Pulpop is available directly from MollaSpace in white and brown.
