Designed by Thaiwanese Hsu Wei Chih, the D-Bike, which makes building a bike fun and easy, was awarded with 2012 Red Dot Design award. Almost all the components of D-Bike are made from reinforced honeycomb cardboard. They are all punched out from a pre-cut cardboard sheet. Parents and their kids work together to assemble the bike, enhancing the parent-child relationship in the process. Kids can create their own drawings on the provided self-adhesive paper, and stick them on each side of the bike. A unique bike is therefore created. Kids will gain confidence and have fun during the assembly, drawing, and resultant play with the bike. D-Bike is easy and inexpensive to manufacture.
