Pet-Interiors, an award winning company manufacturing premium pet furniture, was founded by husband and wife team, Christel and Otto Meyer. Unable to find any handsome product which would suite their cat “Mrs. Schmitt”, they decided to design some special cat products and found some handcrafters to realize their ideas. As Christel says, Mrs. Schmitt and all of them were so pleased with the results that they decided to found the company cat-interios.de to offer these cat furnitures to the public. Because of the great success of the cat-furniture they later started a dog collection in 2007. From their collection, The Dog, designed with a good dose of humor by Erik Stehmann, is presented as the ultimate scratching post for cats: cast in polyester resin and subsequently wrapped with sisal cord, it not only protects your furniture from unwanted scratch marks, it also allows your cat to sharp their claws on their natural ‘enemy’.
