e is believed to be born somewhere in East Europe but his identity is unknown; he also speaks several languages so it’s quite difficult to understand where he comes from. According to a 5coolhunter BXX spends part of the year somewhere in Scandinavia. His art will appear in cities around the world, combining “minimal literature”, poems and visual installations, with a distinctive technique. It is very difficult to understand where and how BXX is going to act but the message he send us trough his art is very impressive. Day 21 June (longest day of the year) he made a street-art installation in Helsinki’s Karhupuisto (Bear Park). Why this place? A few hours before the happening we received this message from him: “…my street perforemace is starting…21 hours before 21.6.10 i put 21 paper notes in 21 places in this area…that. 21.6th at 21 evening 21 candles will …lamps…will vibrate in the summer night park close to here …a remény fénye, az éjszakai vándor sarkcsillagja 21 wishes” ( bxx ). A mixed language ( English-Hungarian) poem about this “21” happening was received too, so we publish it below. We also know that his next street performance will be somewhere in Transylvania (Romania) on July. We ask anyone who has pictures or info about Bxx to send us. We will keep you informed!
MIKOR MEGHIVNAK:
mikor meghivnak, nem tehetsz mást, követed a fényt…mikor meghivnak akkor hátra hagysz mindent, és elindulsz a fény ösvényén…csodálatos új világ, a béke a szivedbe költözik… mindenkit meghivnak, orvost vagy tanitót, pincért vagy portást, fémipari munkást…gyereket, öngyötörteket, bölcseket, szegényeket, szenvedöket, álmodózokat…szinészeket…gyerekeket…testvéreket, ellenséget mikor meghívnak téged, gyönyörü lázban ég a tested…Mesterek hivnak meg, vagy a szenvedés, beteg lelked, fájdalmas tested, öregséged, …a fény útját kövesd…kövess mikor meghivnak téged, soha többet nem kérsz, de mindig adsz… mikor meghivnak téged , utolsó pillanatig haldokló apád…vagy édeanyád kezéd fogod, nem mész el gyülölettel a szenvedö mellett, megcsókolod a földet, a fák levelét, a tó vizéböl iszol és fényben fürdesz örökké… mikor meghivtak engem, nem tudtam beszéni a rekedtségtöl, a fáradságtól,a világ bánatátától…lenéztem a földre…lábam alatt kamillavilág sarjadt…egy új élet… küldök neked kamillavirágot…
MOARTEA CAPRIOAREI: Nicolae Labis (1956)
Spun tatii că mi-i sete şi-mi face semn să tac.
Frumoasă jertfă a pădurii mele!
Ea s-arătă săltând şi se opri
Privind în jur c-un fel de teamă,
Şi nările-i subţiri înfiorară apa
Cu cercuri lunecoase de aramă.
Sticlea în ochii-i umezi ceva nelămurit,
Ştiam că va muri şi c-o s-o doară.
Mi se părea că retrăiesc un mit
Cu fata prefăcută-n căprioară.
De sus, lumina palidă, lunară,
Cernea pe blana-i caldă flori stinse de cireş.
Vai, cum doream ca pentru-ntâia oară
Bătaia puştii tatii să dea greş!
Dar văile vuiră. Căzută în genunchi,
Îşi ridicase capul, îl clătină spre stele,
Îl prăvăli apoi, stârnind pe apă
Fugare roiuri negre de mărgele.
O pasăre albastră zvâcnise dintre ramuri,
Şi viaţa căprioarei spre zările târzii
Zburase lin, cu ţipăt, ca păsările toamna
Când lasă cuiburi sure şi pustii.
Împleticit m-am dus şi i-am închis
Ochii umbroşi, trist străjuiţi de coarne,
Şi-am tresărit tăcut şi alb când tata
Mi-a şuierat cu bucurie: – Avem carne!
Spun tatii că mi-i sete şi-mi face semn să beau.
Ce-i inimă? Mi-i foame! Vreau să trăiesc, şi-aş vrea…
Tu, iartă-mă, fecioară – tu, căprioara mea!
Mi-i somn. Ce nalt îi focul! Şi codrul, ce adânc!
Plâng. Ce gândeşte tata? Mănânc şi plâng. Mănânc!
A Hungarian translation of Labis poem by Kanyadi Sandor:
A szárazság minden kis fuvalmat megölt,
lecsurgott a nap, és benne fürdött a föld.
Üresen izzott az ég odafönn.
Iszapot merített a kútból a vödör.
Az erdőkben, egyre sűrűbben, lángok,
lángok jártak vad és sátáni táncot.
Megyek apám után, bozóton, sűrűn által,
száraz ág tép, arcomat gally csapkodja;
az éhség hajtott őzvadászni minket
édesapámmal föl a Kárpátokba.
Szomjúság emésztett, fölforrt azon nyomban,
ha a csorgóból kőre hullt a víz,
mintha egy idegen bolygón, félig holtan,
megyek, mint akit csak a lába visz.
Ott álltunk lesben, hová még hallatszottak
a forrás szelíden zenélő hangjai,
szomjukat oltani.
A very interesting BXX translation and interpretation of same poem:
minden eletet megölt a szarazsag
leolvadt a nap, az eg
tuzforro maradt
csontszaraz kutak aljan
sötet erdök, folyok partjan
a langok az eletet marjak.
Apam utan baktatok, föl a hegyre
gyulolve surol durva fenyöag
Özvadaszatra indulunk mi ketten
Ehseg-vadaszatra,oh, szent Karpat
Szomjas vagyok.forro köre
harmatcseppet kepzelek, labam
csak visz elöre, idegen földre,
vanszorgok, baktatok…elöttem apam

KI VOLT SZENT IVA’N ?
“Minek, kinek a szentje Szent Iván?

I’m wide awake
An empty bed drives my dreams away
Life melts like ice
Disappears in the twinkling of an eye
I’m losing my mind,
Pushing reality out of sight
Our lips are touching softly
You’re the one I believe blindly
I walk around like crazy
Falling in love frightens me
Days are like wounds
Countless and hard to get through
Prayer…
It burns my sore lips like a fire
Prayer…
Thy name is something I admire
Heaven knows just as well as I do
So many times I have cried over you
Heaven knows just as well as I do
I pray and live only for you
I can’t lie to God
as I kneel down and pray
You’re the love of my life
That’s the only thïng I can say

loomy Sunday or known as ‘The Suicide Song’ is a song that the Urban legend said to caused more than a hundred lives of people. The composer is a Hungarian pianist ‘Rezso Seress’ wrote this piece of music in 1933 after ending the relationship with his lover. It was hard to get it published because the song sounds too depressed. It was finally released in 1936, words were written by Laszlo Javor his poet friend. There are many cases of the suicide that had something to do with the song. Two young men had shot themselves when listening to this song played by a gypsy band. And a group of people drowned themselves with the music sheet in their hands. Even, Seress himself committed a suicide by jumping out off his apartment in 1968. But many have said that all the rumors of suicide thing were just a marketing plan. Since it came out until now, it was translated into many languages which are Russian, French, Japanese, Finnish, Slovene and Cantonese. Some of the covers changed the lyrics a little bit. But the one that has been used repeatedly was written by Sam Lewis and the most remarkable version of this song is from Billie Holiday in 1941 which had the third verse, unlike the Hungarian version. And it was banned by the BBC. (The ban was lifted in 2002, according to the BBC trivia show, QI.) Other than Billie Holiday, many famous singers made a cover of it such as Ray Charles, Sarah McLachlan, Björk and Sarah Brightman. You can leasten some of this version at the links below.
