Sports Illustrated is celebrating its 50th anniversary and to make the 2014 Swimsuit Edition an unforgettable one they got Kate Upton’s boobs in a Zero G airplane. While fan favourite Kate has covered the previous two editions of the magazine, the editors obviously realised they needed a new direction this issue. You can just imagine the lit up faces of the editorial team when they came to the idea in a brainstorming session: “What about… Kate Upton’s bazoomas… in zero gravity…?” Photographed by James Macari on Cape Canaveral, Upton floats (or if you watch the video at the link below, falls a lot) about the cabin with beach balls and bubbles being beautiful. The shoot took place on a specially modified Boeing-727, known as G-FORCE ONE, which performed a series of 17 parabolas – 13 zero gravity and four replicating lunar gravity – as Upton bounced and soared through the plane for the cameras.
