If you’re one of those types who love the peace and serenity of the great outdoors, or if you like to climb mountains to get away from the crowds, you may want to skip Jiangxi, China on your itinerary. At the annual International Camping Festival held every September, over 15,000 outdoor enthusiasts set up camp at a hillside near Mt. Wugongshan. The Jiangxi Province countryside is home to grassy marshlands, crystal-clear rivers, cloud-covered peaks, and breath-taking waterfalls. At the event, it’s also home to hundreds of tents in different shapes and sizes – which contrasts well with the beautiful backdrop scenery. It’s not hard to see why so many flocked from many parts of China to join this occassion. Currently on its 6th year, the event was organized by the Wugong Mountain Scenic Area Management Committee to promote tourism, love for nature, outdoor activity, and green philosophy.
