Created by French designers Thierry Boltz and Claude Saos of BSG bikes, born from a common passion for bike and from a daily use of this transportation by the two designer, the ‘WOOD.b’ is conceived as a high-quality urban bike. The conception incorporates the use of a unique system: a part of the frame is realized in beech plywood and plays the role of the architectural structure on which can be added the steel parts of high quality of the brand Columbus (bases and fork) which can welcome standard mechanical elements resulting from the bike industry. This garantees a complete customization of bikes (BSG also offers an on-line configuration page to help you to costumize your bike’s colors) and at the meantime allows maintenance and repair at every bicycle shop. Set-up as a fixed gear, the ‘WOOD.b’ also incorporates wooden handle bars and splash guards for added style and presence. The launch of the production is scheduled in September 2013.
