The Intergalactic Travel Bureau is an interactive science outreach experience produced by Guerilla Science and sponsored by the American Physical Society to educate people about space exploration and promote Earthlings garnering a more in-depth knowledge of the solar system. Concieved as a a mock travel agency to help you to plan far-out trips to nearby planets and moons, the storefront space is donated by Chashama; additional support is provided by UCLA’s Department of Mathematics and illustrated vintage travel poster are by Steve Thomas Art & Illustration. It is an experience meant to inform and inspire all who participate, a space where scientists, artists, and the public meet to delve into the realities and limitations of leisure space travel. It will take place in New York City from July 13th through July 21st, 2013 at 266 W 37th Street. The bureau will be open every day from 10am until 8pm.
