Working with children can be kind of a rough job. They don’t have the ability that adults have to keep standing after long hours on a modeling shoot, they cry and throw tantrums, and they usually need to take a few naps throughout the day. No matter how difficult they can be, though, there’s no denying that kids produce the best portraits, especially when in costume. That’s why the Brazilian ad agency Globalcomm commissioned a series of photographs featuring kids dressed up as famous film characters from the last few decades as a marketing campaign to promote a new movie theater. The theater was built in the Praia de Belas Shopping Center in Brazil and features six screens roomier and more comfortable seating, online purchasing capabilities, and self-service terminals for concessions. According to My Modern Met, the quirky campaign was a way to remind movie-goers in Brazil to have fun at the movies, which can be an exciting and adventurous “cinematic world.” The photos themselves are truly remarkable in their ability to capture the essence of a character with so little props and such tiny models.
