Born in Fukushima, Japan, He started working in an interior construction company in Tokyo. Since 1996 when he moved to Italy were he graduated at “IED” ( Istituto Europeo Design ) in Milano with first class honours. Umemuro, received a scholarship award from “Glamour” Magazine and in 2002 Joined “COSTUME NATIONAL” womenswear as an assistant. He also worked at “10 CORSO COMO” in Milano, one of the most important concept store in the world. Than he moved to Paris and start a cooperation with “0044 Paris” In 2007 he return in Milano and joined “JIL SANDER” by Raf Simons womenswear design team since 2011 when he launched his own Shirt line “Uemulo Munenoli “ in JapanThe pure silence of white shirts meets geometric sculptures. Uemulo presents conceptual shirts which are essentially inspired by contemporary Art, Music and Culture. His pieces are more than just a shirt.
