Huang Wei-Dong (黄 炜 东) was born in Guangdong (China) in 1981. Passionate about painting since childhood, he studied at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and then devote himself to comics and illustration. He also deals with graphics, apparel and toy design. Has been co-founder and works with brands such as Fire-Panda, 7-Department, Ox-Evil, Teen-Team, Heyhepig, etc… His graphic pieces have a nice mix of pop, comic, and pixel art aesthetics that perfectly capture the energy and edge of China’s emerging creative youth generation, but all across his production you can identify a constant formal research leading from the original idea to the development of an accurate and specific project, consistent with the type of product to offer. He lives and works in Shenzhen.
