French designer Philippe Tournaire debuted a new collection of one-of-a-kind architectural rings and cufflinks, evolving his recently launched Villa de Reve collection. Each piece celebrates some of the world’s most inspirational structures, hand made from 18K gold, platinum, diamonds and precious gemstones. The concept for Villa de Reve stems from Tournaire’s world travels, which lead to his discovery of Jewish Medieval wedding rings from the 16th and 17th centuries.
The rings were shaped like small edifices symbolizing both a married couple’s new home and Jerusalem’s destroyed temple. The idea of the home binding two people both physically and spiritually is brought to life in Villa de Reve (which means “Dream Home” in French), which features extraordinary villas and chateaus set as rings and cufflinks.
Both intricate and daring, Villa de Reve originates in the designer’s native France with the creation of the Roman ring, which is modeled after the architecture of the Prieure Saint-Romain.
Highlights include the sleek Florida Home ring and Manhattan. Tournaire also specializes in creating customized villas, which are available upon request.
For private clients who want to immortalize their own dream home or favorite architectural structure, Tournaire utilizes three dimensional images to achieve maximum detail to scale in each piece.
For those clients who do not have aerial shots of their properties, Tournaire uses Google Earth to obtain footage in bringing their dream home to life. As a designer, he has always been a firm believer that success does not come from simply applying the skills learned, but rather from being creative and adapting oneself to the design piece and its world.
As a man with a thirst for creativity, Philippe Tournaire weaves his magic by skilfully combining precious metals and stones with the history of art and sience for more than 38 years Philippe Tournaire has worked hard to establish his own distinctive rules of harmony.
