Kleber Menezes is a Brazilian-born artist who has been living in New York since 1999. As a child, he enjoyed playing soccer and frying grasshoppers in empty food cans. For that, he’s extremely guilty and to this day donates a large sum of money to animal charities. Later on, he discovered the paintings of Egon Schiele and Hokusay, work that inspired him to start drawing and saved his life. His work has been published in a number of illustration and design magazines, including Communication Arts, Blanket, and Archive, and was included in Lürzer’s Archive: 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide.
