NYAN NYAN NOUVEAU: The Japanese Wine For Cats

Nyan-Nyan-Nouveau-990x500

Today in Japan, bottled wine created especially for cats goes on sale. This is not a joke. Pet supplement company B&H Lifes is rolling out “wine exclusively for cats” that is called “Nyan Nyan Nouveau.” In Japanese, “nyan nyan” (ニャンニャン) can refer to a cat’s meow as well as people screwing. Here, it refers to cats. “Nouveau” appears to evoke Beaujolais Nouveau, which is quite popular in Japan. You never have to drink alone again, because now you can drink with your cats. This cat wine doesn’t really contain any alcohol, but it does contain juice made from Cabernet grapes, along with catnip. So just accept it. It’s wine, for cats. Nyan Nyan Nouveau costs 399 yen (or $4) for a bottle, and the company is only producing a thousand of them, so you should probably act fast. – © kotaku.com
