Street interviews conducted by Travis Nuckolls and Chris Baker in Colorado Springs prove that asking the right question can be more important than anything you can tell someone. Conducted in Colorado Springs, some people’s pre-conceived notions were challenged within seconds of being asked when they “chose” their sexuality. Everyone agrees that they never chose to be straight and in turn some are forced to re-evauate their opinions of homosexuality as a choice. According to the American Psychiatric Association: “ There is no consensus among scientists about the exact reasons that an individual develops a heterosexual, bisexual, gay, or lesbian orientation. Although much research has examined the possible genetic, hormonal, developmental, social, and cultural influences on sexual orientation, no findings have emerged that permit scientists to conclude that sexual orientation is determined by any particular factor or factors. Many think that nature and nurture both play complex roles; most people experience little or no sense of choice about their sexual orientation”. Just enjoy the video !
