revolution in city bikes design, Biomega presented the Biolove Bamboo bicycle designed by Ross Lovegrove, the master of organic design. The bike is made from metal components that are interconnected by bamboo in a very elegant way. As bamboo is a fast-growing sustainable material, when properly prepared, bamboo is stronger than steel, with a wonderful natural radiance. This intricately finished yet highly functional bike was co-developed with the expertise of Brazilian bamboo specialist Flavio Deslandes, and is handmade in Denmark. Beside the collaboration with Ross Lovegrove, Flavio Deslandes has some nice bamboo bicycles under his own line of design. Flavio Deslandes is a Brazilian Industrial Designer based in Denmark. His area of expertise is design with bamboo, in particular the bamboo bicycle. The goal is to present a new breed of bicycles, stunning in design yet environmental in mind.
