This Distinct Master of the Arts in Fashion is now returning to his roots and sharing his world-renown fashion expertise to the Philippines! Partnering with Bench, one of the country’s fastest growing global brands, these two forces of fashion are set to launch a one-of-its-kind collaboration in the underwear industry. Mobo for Bench has become the most anticipated underwear collection in town. It first premiered in the mid-year staging of Bench’s biennial fashion show entitled Blackout: The Bench Denim and Underwear fashion show in Araneta Coliseum. Conceptualized as a show highlighting different media as inspiration for fashion, Mobo’s segment is the only one that used fashion as an inspiration for fashion.
Early on in May, the UK-based Filipino and in-house brand for Harrod’s, had been hip-deep in designs and concepts for his own section. The result are photos that made the crowd gasped in awe as shots of English models sporting Mobo’s Bench Body interpretation made its debut to the unsuspecting audience packing Araneta Coliseum. With a short pause, the country’s top stars and models strut out to the asymmetrical stage decked out in Mobo’s own creations, giving the mob more reason to thirst for the Mobo look with the simple and classy black and white briefs, the airmailed inspired bands, the frilly and fancy look of lingerie pieces adorned by the ethereal feel of flirty skirt additions to panties, not to mention the lacy numbers, and the contrasting shades of colors.
All were amazed and fascinated with the Mobo segment. The day after the show, Filipinos had been trooping to Bench stores nationwide asking for a pair of Mobo for Bench underwear to be part of the “in” crowd.
