Photographer and musician Reuben Wu is an English artist born in Liverpool which offers us photographs of great beauty. Reuben is member of the electronic band Ladytron. His role in the band is keyboardist, songwriter and producer. Wu grew up in North West England. He’s a classically trained violinist. Trained in Industrial Design at Sheffield Hallam University. He graduated in 1997 and finished his MSc in 1998 at University of Liverpool before working as an industrial designer for Team Consulting in Cambridge until going full time with the band in 2002. Wu drew the cover of the UK edition of Ladytron’s first album 604. He met Daniel Hunt in Liverpool in 1994 and formed Ladytron with him in 1999, along with Mira Aroyo and Helen Marnie. Wu and Hunt set up the Liverpool club night Evol and bar Korova. In 2011, he released a book with a collection of photographs from an expedition with a friend on Svalbard in March 2011. He features on the Electric Six song “Love Song for Myself” on their seventh album Zodiac. Wu produced and co-wrote two songs “Birds of Prey” and “Little Dreamer” for Christina Aguilera’s 2010 album Bionic.
