It’s really amazing what we can make stuff out of these days. Dutch company Kazmok, for instance, makes an entire bag range such as briefcases, travel bags and even iPad sleeves out of rubbery conveyor belts. The materials are sourced from the flower industry, postal depots, distribution centers and the recycling industry. With these materials as a point of departure and a high level of production quality, Kazmok bags are sustainable and remarkable in their design. Its founder Dinand Stufkens says the products are symbolic of throwaway culture and there’s a certain coolness in how the conveyer belts move along the distribution line to, well, become new consumer products.
