Tens is defined by the idea of filtering the things you see through our custom, sense-heightening lens tint. Whilst typical sunglasses block out the light with desaturated, cold colours; Tens work with the warmth of the sun to lend an uplifting tint to the world beyond the lens. The idea stems from the existing model of sunglasses, which typically use dark tints and desaturated colors to block harmful UV rays. Tens’ glasses offer custom UV400-level eye protection that uses sun warmth to enhance our perception of color. The Edinburgh-based team spent two years time perfecting the construction, presently set to offer a “Classic” acetate silhouette in four matte colors with the help of crowdfunding. They might sound a bit hipster, but these are not for pretentious types. Oh no, they’re for people who like to go on adventures with pals and spending time outside.
