new clothes shop has opened up on East Street in Brighton with an interesting store front crammed full of old fashioned sowing machines. The name of the shop is Allsaints Spitalfields harking back to the days when the Spitalfields area of east London was famous for tailoring. The store has searchlight fixtures recovered from the Suez Canal, sewing machines from Chatham Dockyard, a loom from a mill in Sheffield. Even the Keelhaul Bikini evokes Britain’s naval history. A really very cool place. Our compliments!
